I don't understand why this shit makes the news. Someone makes a personal choice (and I say personal because it's not like the child could decide for herself) and, although it may not be ethical to everyone, people have to stick their noses into the lives of these people. They are doing this so they may better care for their daughter, not because they don't want her to have a life. She is bed ridden and severely metally challenged, I'm sorry it's not like she's going to have a great social life. Eventually this will get legislated so that people can argue over a 'real' issue instead of their personal ethical beliefs. What a tremendous load of bullshit.
