Pakistani Farhan Masood recognized as one the brilliant minds on earth by MIT

Farhan Masood, a 36 years old has made a proud moment for Pakistan. MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) recognizes him as one of the the brilliant minds on earth for his product – world’s fastest retina and face scanner algorithm called smartXS. Masood has won MIT Business Acceleration Plan contest, a highly competitive contest in which around 165 participants contested around the world.
SmartXS is a biometric verification system which recognizes personalities from their eyes and faces – Masood told the media. According to him SmartXS is the fastest biometric verification system that is available in the market. His product has wide business in security systems and nation databases. The product was first brought to life in 2005 and its hardware was as big as a refrigerator, but now it’s smaller than a PC, Masood said.
We have seen that almost every genius who conquered IT field has no professional degree. Interestingly, Masood keeps the tradition going on having no professional degree. He is a college dropped-out, he hated maths that’s why he left it – Masood added. “I have got all of this achievement because of my passion” – Masood
Masood is an entrepreneur, who started his career as an IT professional. He is the originator of Urdu, Persian and Arabic on internet and was able to incorporate Urdu, Persian and Arabic characters in English-based Windows back in 1997. He said,“The government had softened its state laws for one day to hire me and few others, because i didn’t have bachelors degree”. He was working in UAE for 55,000 dhirams but then left the job to start his own entrepreneur venture.
