Took the time this morning to read that article.
Interesting, to say the least.
A good read.

As the author positioned, diplomacy has been the process of success in reducing nuclear proliferation with much of the world.
But as the article unfolds, how do we negotiate diplomatically with a nuclear nation ( Pakistan ) whose culture exhibits a general mind set that values life so little, it destroys it's own with pride?

PK is a poorly run and dangerous insane asylum with the inmates ( terrorists ) taking control.

You might find this article interesting, Man

Pakistan's New Generation of Terrorists

Pakistani authorities have long had ties to domestic militant groups that help advance the country's core foreign policy interests, namely in connection with Afghanistan and India. Since Islamabad joined Washington as an ally in the post-9/11 "war on terror," analysts have accused Pakistan's security and intelligence services of playing a "double game," tolerating if not outright aiding militant groups killing NATO troops in Afghanistan.

Nice piece showing the problem is much worse than is publicly known in general ...even if an honest effort was applied the corruption and leaking of intelligence would merely tip off the terrorists .IMO pk let the problem continue to where they have reached a point of no hope.
Its matter of time before before the warhead safety is compromised...if not by force then by jihads within the army.
IMO pk should for the safety of millions have the US remove all warheads until pk becomes stable with so many terrorists groups I dont see that happening anytime soon.

Just came across this article:
http://www.vocativ.com/world/china/china-al-qaedas-cross-hairs/
Is China in Al Qaeda’s Crosshairs?

Azzam warns that the Chinese will be punished for their crimes against Muslims and Islam, and says that killing them and shedding their blood is “good.” Azzam has previously published videos in which he claims that after the U.S. war in Afghanistan, China will become the “number one enemy.”

That faction of al Qaeda is based in Pakistan.
Ironic that it was the Chinese that provided the nuclear technology to Pakistan in the early 1970's.
Be interesting to see the official Chinese policy toward Pakistan in the next few years.

I remember mazHur Butt denying that the Taliban had a presence in Karachi and then admitting there was a little.

News out of Karachi:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2014/06/09/pakistan-airport-attack/10220535/

'This is just the beginning': Taliban claim Pakistan airport massacre

LAHORE, Pakistan – The Taliban claimed responsibility for a brazen siege on Karachi's Jinnah International Airport overnight Monday that left dozens dead, saying the attack was in retaliation for drone strikes on villages in Pakistan's troubled northwest border region.

The militant group vowed to continue their campaign.

"This is just the beginning," Shahidullah Shahid, spokesman for the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) told the Express Tribune, a Pakistani daily.

The Pakistan Taliban and other associated militant groups, who in the last years have increased their presence in Karachi, Pakistan's biggest city and its main commercial hub, said the attack was also in retaliation for a U.S. drone strike that killed Pakistan Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud late last year.

Meanwhile, locals in Karachi and elsewhere said the attacks highlight the poor security situation in the country and the ineffectiveness of the government to contain militants.

"One thinks that the airport is a place where you can feel safe and secure but unfortunately it is as unsafe as the roads of Karachi — we are not safe anywhere in Karachi — not even in our homes," said Usama Ahmed, 26, of Karachi.

mazHur Butt lied.

Indeed...he also had a post describing how they had taliban everywhere{failed to read the article before pasting it up}
Turns out the Taliban put phone numbers on poles and public bulletin boards to report crime {and solicit new members}
How can he not know they are there?...when they put out flyers everywhere !!!
Maz also stated that PK forces killed them if they came to town. {If that is true...why are the taliban giving out contact info in public areas?}

Here is how I see it...the terrorist are pretty much free to do what they want...but yes pk forces will fight back when attacked.
The giant reservations the pk Govt. provide jut isnt enough...the taliban have occupancy in much of pakistan now.
Millions just in the mega city alone.

I often wonder if mazHur has issues with reading comprehension when he posts a link like that.
Why isn't his Chinese-Canadian girlfriend proof reading his posts ???
