Some new show on OWN. It kind of pisses me off though, just based on the commercial.

One chick is saying she has to do dope every day to be normal, one guy is talking about being arrested for molesting his girlfriend's two daughters, and then a lady in a bra and panties saying she likes the way she looks, and you get the impression she was a guy not too long ago.

Is that really a fair portrayal of America?

I prefer to watch Jerry Springer to get my dose of "real" Americans

Honestly, it's hard to get a "real" portrayal of any peoples in this day and age... especially since shock entertainment is so popular....


I think the real shows... the real peak into peoples lives happen over on the cooking and lifestyle channels.

The writers and producers are getting the reaction they want then. It's the " shock " factor that they are going for.

I'm trying to picture you being rebellious at 14 and it's not pretty. Kinda geekish is what I'm seeing.
