I love Ospreys. Only seen them once at Rutland water, about 100 miles or so away from me where the've been re-introduced into England and are breeding again.:thumbup

Thanks

Very Very Cool... I like it very much.. :)

Thanks Snail Man

rarely seen over here sadly

Rarely seen here as well... at least in my part of the country.

It's beautiful!

And you got such a great sky to shoot against.

Thanks... the sky isn't so great today. My day off and it's supposed to rain all weekend.

Awesome shots. You could do a calendar with all the nice bird pics you take.

Thanks... and I get calendars made every year for my family. :D

Great shots! Keep it UP^

Thanks

Very nice.

Thanks Fifi

They are such an impressive looking bird. Very sharp hooked beak, long talons and a great colour pattern. Fast as hell when they are chasing something as well. A couple of years ago I watched a pair hunt down an American Coot. It was quite the sight to watch.

what gets me is how guyz manages to light the underside when in flight.....if that was me it'd be a silhouette

I end up with a lot of silhouetted shots depending on the suns angle and dangle. This one just happened to be flying towards it and that's why the underside is somewhat lighted. If you notice there is some darkening happening the further towards the back of the wing. That said, I did do some minor adjustments with the shadows.
