What's so great about 127 hours. Great a story as it is, it could easily make a 15 minute film and dragging it out over a couple of hours shows!

Anyone else like me and NOT a fan of the whole "10 Best Picture Noms" thing? I realize theydo it to boost ticket sales of the top films, but it seems like they are realy having to stretch it already. No way some of those are in the same league with the top contenders.

My vote would be for Black Swan, but I'm pretty certain that King's Speech will win BP and most everything else it's nominated for. Big-time British films ALWAYS do. I think it's only because of the accent. If you have a solid British accent you're automatically a great actor.

As long as King's Speech wins nothing and Colin Firth fucks off I'll be a lot happier.

I'm pretty sure that a few backhanders are thrown in to the judges, that is what I really can't stand about the Oscars.

I'm also not a fan of the 10 nomination crap. Both, Black Swan and King's Speech took away Oscars. Natalie Portman got what she deserved--hands-down the best actress of the past year!
