i always thought he would have been dead for sometime, surely radars would have picked up any possible hiding place long ago, and of all the goverments to find out/make stuff up, why the french/saudis, what have they acsess to that no-one els has

I don't know! It wouldn't suprise me if he'd died a little while ago but I think if anything was known for a fact, the allies would have made a huge deal about it.

If he is dead it will probably make things worse. His followers would probably see him as some sort of martyr and double their attempts to suicide bomb everyone!

not really him dieing like that is better , if we killed him then they would see him more as a martyr.

True he won't become a martyr, but they will still kill in his name, they will see his death as an exercise to carry out his wishes,
