You know, I've been thinking about this for a little while now. I'm not so sure anymore. I can see desperate fathers selling something off to pay bills, or poor people selling something important to get something fleetingly nice.

I dunno. I guess I'm a split decision.

As I write this though, I find myself thinking about who would do it that WASN'T desperate. I would hate to see a program put out that was going to abuse the needy. :(

I don't see a problem with that. they get the money, someone gets an organ.

So long as it doens't cause your immediant death sure. You have 2 kidney's and your liver refurbs itself.

But, that being said .. if you sold 1 of your kidney's and then later in life needed a kidney .. I don't think you should be put on an organ donation list to receive one .. since it would be your own fault that you didn't have a back up.

This is what I scraple with in my mind as I ponder this question and it just does not sit well with me. It some other countries this is how the poor is exploited - kinda like a CEO making someone's yearly salary in 10 minutes ... it just does not ethically seem right for it to be legal for folks to SELL their organs. Nor does it seem right for an institution to make a profit off of the organ itself.

I have no worthwhile organs.

I'm killing my lungs and heart with smoking. My eyes absolutely suck completely. My liver may not be as bad as Donnies, but it's not the best.
