Anyone with good knowledge know anything about them? I downloaded Clam AntiVirus to give it a test run.

Do you mean open source or just free? Because AVG is free but I don't know if it's considered open source. That's what I use though, haven't had any problems so far.

Open Source. AVG is free but they still try to get u to upgrade to their better software which you have to pay for.

Personally, I wouldn't mess with it as of yet - too risky

With that said, feel free to check it out and report on your findings - I'll be interested in learning about it.

I heard the other day about this trick antivirus that when you pay for it, like 40 bucks or so, it fucks your computer up.
The people who made it though are banking like $100,000/week.

Thus why I always get it from "other sources"
