Open Office or other free Office Alternatives

Do you use any free office alternatives? I don't want to spend the money to purchase a subscription to Microsoft Office, so I prefer to use Open Office. It does everything that Microsoft Office does, plus in this day and age you can't beat free. I'm not sure what other alternatives exist, so if you know of any other ones feel free to list them in this thread.

At work I am provided with Microsoft Office so if possible I tend to just write documents at work. If that is not an option, then I just use Google Drive's suite of apps given that I do not exactly need all the fancy functionality that Office has.

Frankly speaking, I have always used Microsoft Office, I have tried Open Office as well as Google Doc but I do most of my work on MS Office.
