The amazing part is the fact that we can run a car off vegtable oil for a few dollars worth of conversion. There are many farmers in need of profitable crops, and we need to get off our asses here and stop the use of Petro... $3.00 a gallon by labor day and $5.00 a gallon by this time next year just isn't going to cut it for me.

Fuck Bush and his fucking oil buddies.

local news carrier round here, said on the tv that a man was working on a way to make current cars run on

There are actually plans in the making for a hydro powered car. I even heard it was very close, or complete….but squashed in the name of profit????

Just like the tires made from rubber that never wears. I’m sure you all heard about that. A company created a tire that you would never ever have to replace. It would never go flat, never wear, NEVER need replaced. Firestone bought the product to squash production in the name of their own survival.

On a episode of Trucks on Spike they had one of these kits and ran a dodge trcuk on it getting better gas mileage then tehy did on regular gas i belive

nope, some older dude was working to get his late 70s (?) f150 to run on water... but it wasnt squashed :D...

the thing is, modifying only the way the water gets to the engine in time to combust... hydrogen + oxygen + spark + carved pumpkin = big mess :D (physics demo, or chemistry, forgot, but thinking more chemistry than physics, but still applies to both)

that shit could work... all thats needed is pure oxygen and pure hydrogen (well maybe not 100% pure, but prolly 85% or somewheres around it) and a spark... which is provided by the current distributor... so, it could work, its just the kinks in the system that need working out.. :dunno

but if it takes off... oil companies = :eek:wned

the theory of it, as i think it is, is not difficult:

heat the water, separate hydrogen from oxygen, cool both elements down, insert into chamber, and spark, thus providing energy for the cycle again... :dunno

There is already cars which run on hydrogen. Ford has developed a hydrogen combustion engine which works. It is not as efficient as gasoline and produces less horse power. Its not a closed system of oxygen and hydrogen because when the oil lubricating your engine is in the pressendce of pure oxygen it spontaniously combusts in addition to other safety hazards. The problem with hydrogen engines isnt making them. The problem is producing hydrogen, hydrogen actually expends more energy then it makes. So using hydrogen as a fuel source is unrealistic. Ohh and all the bio fuels use up way to much farm land to work. So basically the only fuel we can use is oil when it runs out we are fucked.
