Yes but better than the T-Mobile crap I had. I switched back to my original carrier.

I bought the HTC Merge. I'm on contract for 2 years because I got it at a promotional discount. The phone itself was base: like 400 dollars down to 199.99 with a rebate it was 99.99.

The woman who was kinda hot, who helped me said "It's solid and heavy. If you hit some with it you could do some damage" or something to that affect LOL

Funny how the phone knows where you're at, isn't it?

And you're the one who thinks I'm paranoid because the phone "knows too much about you" and who could have access to that information LOL

That said, due to the GPS in the phone (which lets you know the weather where you're at), by chance if you know how to utilize google maps, you'd be amazed at the info you can down load to your phone for future reference if needed.

Oh, and Dana, if you have other areas in the state or country you have reason to be curious about what the weather is like or will be, you can program those areas into your phone as well so you don't have to search for them.

They don't need a GPS to track anyone.. Triangulation has been used for ages in Radio Signals..

The technology of locating is based on measuring power levels and antenna patterns and uses the concept that a mobile phone always communicates wirelessly with one of the closest base stations, so knowledge of the location of the base station implies the cell phone is nearby.

Advanced systems determine the sector in which the mobile phone resides and roughly estimate also the distance to the base station. Further approximation can be done by interpolating signals between adjacent antenna towers. Qualified services may achieve a precision of down to 50 meters in urban areas where mobile traffic and density of antenna towers (base stations) is sufficiently high. Rural and desolate areas may see miles between base stations and therefore determine locations less precisely.
