If you could spend one year in perfect happiness but afterward would remember nothing of the experience would you do so? If not, why not?

I'll tell you the same thing I told Jessica Biel when she showed up at my door in her underwear with a bottle of Scotch...

Who the hell wouldn't do that?????????????

I'll take it. Cause then I dont have to do the mind altering substances for the effect and I can lose my memory in a healthy manner.

I would take it. Happiness can be contagious, and I'm sure there would be people around me for that year who could benefit from my own feelings. It wouldn't matter if I couldn't remember it, I would still have a profound influence on others in a positive way. In turn, after losing my memory, I would still have great friends that would remember and treat me accordingly. So yes, how can it not be worth it?

Hell yes! My life pretty much sucks right now; I'd love a year of happiness!

I don't care if I don't remember it later; at least it was ONE good year. And besides, who knows what else would happen as a result of that year of happiness?

You have to understand, you might as well not choose to be happy for a year, since you will just forget it, and it would be like it never happened. You'd just live out your life with no memory of it.

For someone who I considered to think out of the box, this is very narrow of you. You're better than that.

And also, what if I got Jessica Alba, Halle Berry, Angeline Jolie, Ziyi Zhang, and Vanessa-Mae pregnant and hopelessly in love with me during that year? Or would their pregnancies disappear and their love for me disappear, too?

I mean, I would forget, but since before that year of happiness I desired them, wouldn't I still desire them? And also, they would be all over me after the year since THEY won't forget! (Hey, it doesn't say that in your post, right?!) :D

But what difference would it make either way?

An extra year of suckiness that I DO remember or a year of happiness that I DON'T remember.....

Hmmmmm......yep, I'd still take the year of happiness!

*Because one year will be gone from my life, right? So I would think that I had 2 years that sucked, but during the year of happiness nothing went wrong, so I would not have an extra year of depression, debt, worrying about if I could find a job or not, and any other pains and negative situations that may have occurred if I hadn't taken that year of happiness.

But you would just go back to depression and all the other hardships after, sooo.

Not necessarily true. What if in that year all his problems are solved? He makes millions of dollars and marries Angelina Jolie. He may lose his memory, but those two accomplishments aren't stripped from him. He still has money, and he still has a retard for a wife. :)

Then I would be really confused as to why I was suddenly rich and have a mega hot wife. :D

No I wouldn't... because the day after;

1. my house would burn down
2. I'd wreck my work vehicle.
3. then I'd wreck my car.
4. Then I'd break my leg.
5. then i'd break every other appendage I have
6. then I would just randomly die for no apparent reason.

Worst of all, I wouldn't have even remembered the good, so it'd be like one long non existant good.

Bad luck and me are one in the same.. bliss and happiness don't go well with me.
