I would firstly say that this isn't just about the US. The UK has played an equal part in all of this, in fact, the UK pretty much kick-started the whole of the Middle Eastern mess.

And most western countries benefit from these wars, whether they're involved directly or not.

As for opposition, I guess it's just to let as many people as possible understand the truth behind these wars, and the damage that is being caused in our names. We're the terrorists. Once the majority acknowledges this, we could do something about it.

we really need to widen the net to include the whole NATO alliance and definitely do not exclude the industrialist-bankers who are really behind all of this.

the bush-harriman-cheney cartel has been at since they carpetbagged during the post-civil war reconstruction era. prescott bush was doing steel deals with fritz theissen for hitler, poppy bush earned is nickname for wiring up the china white pipeline during vietnam and he is the one behind the coke pipeline that was set up during contragate. a good reference source is a book, 'american dynasty', though it goes pretty soft on the treasonous and criminal activities of the group.

this is about profit. you can't manufacture explosives and stay in business if they're not used and there is no more vigorous market for them than warfare. same with firearms, uniforms and all sorts of other little items necessary to waging war. the big stuff, for the most part, doesn't even have a use in peacetimg.

instead of retooling for the peacetime projections of american military might and the application of the new technologies for construction, rather than destruction as promised by DDE and JFK, the entire world has been bushwhacked by that military-industrial complex ike was so concerned about.
