Why does it always come down to women and respect issues? If you're a grown adult and you both have a mutual understanding of said situation there should be no degradation. The only thing that I dislike is being told we're just sexing and obviously something develops and neither one is being 100% truthful about it. Like they're afraid. Human beings have needs.

I'll speak to this since I've recently been in this situation. I have no problems w/ a FWB situation...I've done it in the past and it worked well for me. This time around, though, I ended up developing feelings for the guy. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until it was too late and he had a new girlfriend. After talking to some friends, though, I bit the bullet and went ahead and told him about my feelings for him. Turned out to be the best thing I could do (don't get me wrong, I still got rejected, LOL) and he told me that he was glad I told him b/c he values honesty above all else. Sure, it still didn't end up like I wanted it to...but at least I got it off my chest and got my answer instead of sitting around wondering for months what might have been.

I've had a few fuck buddies and one of them got sort of weird because she developed feelings for me, but. eh. I prefer sex within some sort of relationship.

I don't mind FB's. I have had a few. The last one was great because we both knew what we were there for. We both satisfied one another and still maintained a good friendship. He's still a very close friend except we live in two different states now. He recently just told me that he developed feelings for me and still has those feelings. He knows that I am extremely happy in my current relationship and wouldn't do anything to jeopardize that. If I were not in this relationship, I'd be there with him.

they always lead to something. ive never been in one but i know lots who have and anyone i've seen stay in it long enough complications ALWAYS will happen. seems like people trying to keep it 'simple' makes it overly complicated.

Oddly enough, I agree w/ you. I always tried to keep it STRICTLY sexual. He'd say "do you want to sit and talk for a few?" and I'd say "no" and grab his hand and lead him to the bedroom. He'd try to get me to go out to lunch and I'd tell him I needed to go get ready for work. I was stupid...I blew my shot. Oh well...live and learn.
