nothing because the top of our tree was never strong enough to hold something! but i had bought a copper lighted star to go ontop when we bought the tree years ago. it just never stayed up

My parents put up a big gold star, but my mom likes to put those huge porcelain angels up there. I always liked the lit up stars.

we dont have a tree, as much as I asked for one my husband thinks its stupid therefore we did not get one, and we are living with his mother right now and apparently she doesnt give a shit whether we have one or not either I really like decorating for christmas and when I did have a tree I had both depending on what the theme was for the year sometimes it was niether and a snowman.

A fairy my mum knitted for me when I was a child because it was the only thing I could find.

It was from a Jean Greenhowe Christmas book because she knitted me, my brother and sister tons of fairies, soldiers, snowmen, Mrs Christmas, Father Christmas etc for us to play with and my daughter inherited a few of them.

Every year at my parents we put the same little angel, I think it was the first christmas ornament my parents bought together.

Last year my boyfriend and I put a big silver star, which would be used again this year except we wont have a tree this year

Plus I'm pretty sure the tree was originally a fertility symbol, and that seems like a nice idea.

i think she mentioned that they are living with his mother.... like not their own place.

so her getting a tree could be considered rude since well... it is her in-laws house.
