I took the baby to the doctors yesterday and they told me it wasnt an allergic reaction or the chicken pox....said it was just a rash from leftovers of the virus she had a few days ago...but does this seriously look like a rash NOT to be concerend about? Its still spreading too. It is seriously all over her...even the scalp. The doctors have always been right up till now...but im a bit worried. I dont want to go to the hospital just yet so figured id hope someone here might know

Mmm - Hi Kat.

Maybe it's measles - I wld get it looked at again.

Can you turn up at yr docs as a walk in patient, or do you need to wait again for appt? If that's the case, just take her to the hosp to see if it is measles or one of those type of rashes, or something else.

I feel for you hun - *hugs*

It cld still be a heat rash too - so difficult to tell, as there cld be a number of things it cld be.

The doctors office requires appts. so I think once Bo gets home Ill take her to the hospital...for now unfortunatly shes gonna have to cry herself to sleep tho :( its too soon to give her benadryl or tylenol

Try a nice damp cloth on her - make it tepid though, so's it's not too cold or warm and don't press it down on her, just gently dab it on the rash. When the cloth gets cold, just keep putting it in the water to dampen again. Do this a few times all over where the rash is.

It may soothe it for her. Give her cuddles too, to comfort her, let her know you are there.

Awww, I wish I could be there to help out. I know how you feel, it's so tough.

Just thought - is the rash raised on the skin?

I had an allergy rash years ago - the rash started off as spots then changed into bigger blotches - like that on her forehead, but all over.

So, as someone mentioned on here, maybe it is an allergy rash.

Cld well be the milk she drinks.

It's always a guess, as I said before, cos it could be anything really.

How long til Bo gets home Kat? Any chance he'd be allowed to leave work if you ring him?

I can try to call him Im not sure though. Its not an allergy rash though I dont think unless she developed a rash to something shes had a long time now. I havent tried anything new on her lately. Not a heat rash either cause its been cold here...plus if it was it would go downa bit from my experience with the stuff ive tried. im gonna try the damp cloth though...i was just finally able to give her more tylenol so i hope that helps...unfortunatly Bos not home till 12am at the earliest...sides he may say wait till tomorrow and give her one more night trying what the doctors told us.

I just hate seeing her like this...plus my head hurts...so it makes me not able to think to clearly about these things

We've since posted eachother in the PW thread, so no need to post more now.

It still could be a hbit of a heat rash too.. If she sweats in her jammies.. They dont always fade quickly.. or/and if she is runnin a bit of a fever..

I agree with Audra.. Give it a couple days.. see what happens.. As long as she is getting liquids and isnt lethargic.. A couple days wont hurt her.
