I was reading where One Million Moms are calling for a boycott of JCPenney for using lesbian Ellen Degeneres as their spokesperson. Even Bill O'Reilly calls it a witch hunt. One Million Moms has a Facebook page on which they call for the boycott. Interested in viewing the call and the comments, I checked out the FB page and as I scrolled down to find the Boycott post, before I got to the boycott post, I came across this post.

I usually let fundie nonsense go. They say and do some very stupid things, and it's often not worth even thinking about. This attack against Ellen Degeneres falls into that category without a doubt, but I must say it's hurtful in this case.

The woman is so kind and good (from my opinion) for our culture and during these times, it just fucking sickens me anyone would have a bad thing to say about her being hired by JC Penney.

I really did worry JC Penney might fold to their bullshit, but I'm glad they're sticking by her.

Julea Ward is a huge hot topic in my graduate program. The role of a counselor is not to push an agenda regarding what is right or wrong, but to guide a client to growing in a direction they're comfortable with. It is ethical to have topics one is not willing to delve into, but there are specific courses of action to refer out and treat the client with dignity. I am not sure what I believe regarding her expulsion, I certainly wouldn't even bother reading an article with an ad stating "MIRACLES ARE FOR REAL" lol.
