We had a similar case over here a few years ago. It's even funnier because its a complete rip off of an episode of only fools and horses, a British comedy about a dodgy dealer. One classic episode had him doing just that!

You likely do drink some well water.

Not always fresh from the ground. Gotta clean it up a bit first in most places. :D

I don't have well water here, It's all pumped from the water tower about 8-10 blocks away from here. My grandparents old house was on well water. It was great. Sometimes it had that pungeant (spelling?) smell to it, but most of the time that made it taste better.

I thought everyone knew that about bottled water?

I drink bottled water because my tap water is crappy, in taste (most of the time) and look (sometimes).

When I was a kid, I drank tap water all the time. OF course, they didn't make bottled water then.....

Where do they get the water for the tank? :) You're water company is probably using rivers and wells to keep you guys in the H2O.

My friends grandma has her own well in Palm Springs. Her house is exactly like your grandparents as far as water goes. Its crystal clear, and tastes bomb, but on occasion you can smell the need for a bit of treatment facility.

Fort wayne is situated on the confluence of three rivers, it's pumped out of the St Joseph River just north of downtown on Lafayette. :)

When my grandparents built their old house (1956ish) it was out of the city limits and on a well. That basement flooded so many times.

Anyway, yeah we pump it out of the river and then it's pumped to New havens facility which was directly next door to my first apartment, where the tower is.

our tap water tastes like metal... so i'd rather drink bottled water, at least they remove that metal taste!

I've got a water pitcher at home with a built in filter that has probably saved me over a thousand dollars by now. I can't tell the difference between it and bottled water.
