post whatever you like about Metallica in here. can be favorite albums, pics, trivia questions or little known facts about the band.

i'll start first. hands down the best Metallica album of all time is Master of Puppets, IMHO. i first heard this album back when i was in 8th grade (damn near 17 years ago). my friend Brandon played the tape for me and ever since i was hooked. i have been a big fan since!

Metallica is great. But what killed them is making that switch and lowering themselves to a different rock level in the making of St. Anger.

There old stuff > *

I love jamming out metallica licks and shit.

Meh, I used to adore that band. Now I couldn't care less about them. If there wasn't so much struggle with relationship and personal problems, the band should have had been successful all the way through.

everythign b4 the black album.....don't get me wrong the black album had some good songs but it was the begining of the end of metallicas fast pace metal that they were known for....everyone always argues it to be best album...it prolly has brought in more money than any other album but it was also the most commercialized album the previous albums didn't get the attention that the black album did...

In all actuality, it's up to the band to decide which direction they want to take their music to... not the fans.

Sure they pissed off a lot of hardcore metallica fans by doing different rifs, slower songs, etc. But they also start to gain other fans who do like the direction they're taking; kind of like me. The black album was one of the first cd's I bought, and it happens to be my favorite.

Apparently when they attract 5000 screaming fans to a football stadium for a 4 hour show, all the "well I don't like this..." goes right out the window.

thats because at the concerts they play most of the older stuff :p

In Columbus they played 3 St Anger songs. The place jammed just as much as when they played One.

Personally I don't really enjoy Kill Em All as much as I do the Black album.
