Sure there is something wrong with my kids.

10.15pm they went to bed lastnight.

Taking into account, they are 5 and 8 years of age.
And as usual 7.20am, they are up.

Is it alot to ask, to have kids that actually sleeps in the mornings! Bah!!

On weekends my teenage daughter doesn't get out of bed til about 2 in the afternoon and my son 9 or 10 in the morning. I wish my daughter was up earlier. ;) Maybe hen she'd do her chores she has "no time for."

That's actually very normal for kids that age..

My son ( 8 years old ) gets tired at about 8 pm but because his Mom put him to bed at 10 pm he doesn't go to sleep till then most of the time when he is here.. Long story short, she works afternoons and usually picks him up here everyday at 9 pm.

He is usually up at 7:30 am playing with his toys in his room when he stays here on the weekends..

I have shown my son to turn on the TV low volume and be quiet in the mornings..

Addison and Lauren are the exact same way! Deep down inside i think it is the way every kid plots to destroy parents!

Friday - Sat
Bedtime is whatever they want. so long as they aren't fighting, they can stay up as long as they want - and of course both of these little shits get up at like 6-7am!

I had a nap this afternoon :D

My daughter is always up early. Tried different bedtimes but she always wakes at the same time. I'm just glad she is now up sometime around 6:45-7am and not the 4am starts she used to have.

lol I feel for ya. My 5 yr old is like that...though even worse. She can go to bed even as late as 12am ...and like clock work shes up at 6-6:30am every morning. I swear the days I sleep til 7:30/8 are becoming my days of sleeping in. Its pathetic really lol I cant wait until shes old enough to get her own breakfast so maybe then I can at least have til 9 on some days

Evan was like that, when he was 7-10 yrs old he woke up about 7ish, no matter what time he went to bed. After about 13 he can sleep in until the afternoon if he stays up late no problem (he's 17). But I kind of miss the climbing into bed with us bugging us for breakfast, watching Rugrats, time when he was 7 :(

Everyday I have to remind myself of how much I love the early morning snuggles lol. That does seem to make it slightly better :) and way worth it when i realize it will be over too soon.
