Last month it was just me and Shey...hopefully this month we'll get a few more people joining in. I figure this is a good way to encourage each other to get our exercise in. So the way this works is that you set a goal for minutes of exercise for the month and then *gasp* you try to meet it.

The way we do it on the weight loss forum is that you just make 1 post and you edit it to update throughout the month. HOWEVER, once so much time has passed on this forum you are not able to edit your post unless you're a moderator. So if you will just make a new post once you're no longer able to edit, I will merge the posts for you to make it one post. ;)

Kick it in gear, folks...time to get exercising!!! With the nice weather coming in, there's just no excuse. You can find 15 - 30 minutes per day to take a walk...all it takes is getting up a few minutes earlier. ;)

My goal for this month is going to be 2000 minutes.

My routine consists of a 30 minute workout 3 times per week. However, I've been lazy the last little while and it's not very often that I actually do 3 workouts in a week. I'm going to start small and set my goal as 300 minutes for the month of October. I think that allows me to miss 2 workouts this month. This does NOT include my job, which I consider to be a workout in itself.

So there, now it's in writing and you guys can hold me accountable. Feel free to kick me in the ass if I miss a workout. I generally like to go MWF. If I have the weekend off sometimes I'll skip Friday and go Saturday morning instead.

I enjoyed September. It actually made me want to go each day I could because I didn't want to fall too far behind. Well it may not have happened, but I believe I finally have myself in a routine where I feel I must go each day to feel accomplished.

BTW I'm sooo effin sore from having a week off from being sick and then working out every day last week. But, like a friend of mine said, "pain is just weekness leaving the body". :)

I had not opened this thread until today. I took out my bicycle yesterday and pumped up the tires. I rode for about 30 minutes total. Legs were hurting afterward. Took a few stops in about a 45 minute period.

Since we got a little un-expected money tonight we are gonna go ahead and join the YMCA. I will start chiming in after we join and I start working out.

I missed yesterday because I figured I'd go today. Well, we had a freaking SNOWstorm here today. By the time I got home from work I was cold, my feet were wet and I refused to remove myself from my apartment again. I will simply write this one off as a loss and go tomorrow. :D

My end of October exercise to coincide with Halloween, is to carry 10 tonnes of camera equipment for 10 hours or more for 3 days, beat that everyone :)
