Your memory is incorrect

Bush started TARP

Which had to do with the banks.

He also got some money to the auto companies.

Both which had absolutely ZERO to do with the bullshit stimulus package that is nothing more than liberal pork barrel projects that did squat for the private sector.

Oh and to make it even more rich Obama is letting us track down the stimulus spending. Go see how many non existent districts in your state are showing up on the list. There are numerous states that have millions or billions spent in non existent districts.

What a guy Obama is eh? Talk about incompetent.

But he sure does speak prettier than Bush ;)

How do the errors on Recovery.gov make Obama incompetent?

The errors on Recovery.gov have nothing to do with malice, fraud or incompetent government officials let alone the president. It has to do with incorrect information being submitted. All the information that was submitted incorrectly was done so by the recipients of the stimulus money. As a requirement of receiving the funds, you must fill out all the paperwork and submit it. It is errors on this paperwork that's causing this.
Now let's see how long it takes to clean it all up.

Excuses, excuses. You gotta be kidding me. You are blaming those who submitted the info? Jesus Tim how about the friggin govt determine IN ADVANCE before the money is going anywhere that there is a legit use.

I seriously don't get this kind of stuff where you can justify incompetence. This happened in numerous states. For gods sake it sounds like the same bull shit response that came from Acorn in many ways. Deny, deny, deny

this stimulus was and is nothing but a fucked up boondoggle.

You only need to read the first paragraph, nothing more.

It is so friggin transparent they can even make up new districts eh? So this is the 1099 version of the stimulus package only the IRS is not there to catch the crooks eh?;)
In accordance with Section 1512 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), all awards funded by ARRA require quarterly reporting through FederalReporting.gov. This reporting system was developed to serve as a central tool that will be used by recipients to transmit information on projects and activities funded by ARRA. This tool will be used for recipient reporting only, however, reports and information submitted through FederalReporting.gov will be made available to the public on the Recovery.gov website to achieve an unprecedented level of transparency into how Federal funds are spent.

Come on now, you need to try to understand this a little first.

This is not new, it's been like this since Reagan years. Every government project I have ever worked on required our company to fill out the proper paperwork to be submitted. It was that paperwork that went into the public record... Hell, we use to look up those records to see how much business our competitors were getting from government contracts. So the system isn't new at all, actually it's the exact same system that has been in place for years. There just making it public and very easy to use by putting it on the web.
If it was up to the government to fill out all the paperwork, they would need to hire thousands more to do it. Most of the information on the forms were easy for us to fill out since we were the ones that bid the work and submitted to all the requirements. But for a pencil pusher in the government to fill out those same forms would be quite difficult.

Even if they did remodel their offices, thats nothing more than a dangerous BS populist complaint. There were real people, taking home real paychecks doing the remodeling.

The same kind of populist ranting against private jets is a big contributor to the likes of Cessna laying off HALF their workforce because a big chunk of their orders were cancelled. Populism fighting for the "little man" cost about 5000 "little men" their good solid paychecks... :thumbdown

And its a system that virtually impossible to audit. End of the month, every month, I fill out a report describing in detail exactly what services Uncle Sam's money bought from me. Things that if someone came through to audit, it would be virtually impossible to verify the validity of the numbers I give them.
