Plato theorized that democracies, as they matured, evolved into oligarchies or plutocracies. We are witnessing exactly that.

When the new political election funding laws came into effect, the U. S. democratic system became an oligarchy or plutocracy. Billionaires are now buying political candidates and are in fact buying the leadership of the nation. They are now the power behind the throne and control the government and thus the people. Now, instead of working 9 to 5, Americans are working 24/7.

When did the U. S. devolve from the leading democracy of theWest, to a tyranny up for sale?

I suggest you watch the last minute or so because you missed the point that mankind advances ( social progression ) on mutual cooperation from both liberal and conservative elements, including religion.

From what I see, at least Obama has not been bought and paid for by some millionaire. He may have to allow it thanks to the need to follow what his opponents are doing. Fire against fire and a level playing field of one millionaire ruler against another. Your elections will not be philosophy against philosophy. It will just be a pissing contest and battle of the bucks.

I just hope the U.S. population is bright enough to reverse the laws that allow the billionaires to rule the country.

I have my doubts as the laws were initiated in the first place.
