Corn. We don't bait during the season, except in places we're not hunting. When season is over, though, we put it out to see what's going to be around next season.

I've hunted Florida deer. They are little compared to the ones here in Kentucky. The ones in Kentucky, however, are nothing compared to what Lee and Tiffany Lakosky get in Iowa. I'd give anything to hunt their farms. Even shed hunting there would rock.

If it makes you feel any better, everybody I hunt with follows bag limits and only takes what they can eat. While I do enjoy the sport of it, it's very necessary for food. A doe will feed my family for a while, and that's money we don't have to spend in a grocery store.

I do understand your sympathy for the deer. However, by keeping the population down with hunting, we're ensuring the survival of the species for future generations. If there are so many deer that they eat all the food and there isn't enough to go around, they would slowly starve to death.

We never hunt, there's really no need to. I always feel sorry for the deer that are killed, but it is necessary to keep the population down :/

Yeah, they're smug. Like I said, they know hunting season is over, so now they'll come right into the backyard. The day season opens, you won't be able to find one for anything.
