:24: Marco Rubio is our new Senator. Tried to tag himself as a Tea Party candidate as did the MSM. Now we have this:

"If the tea party is expecting Rubio to plant its yellow "Don't Tread on Me'' flag in the hallowed Senate chamber, it's in for a letdown. This career politician who once carried the state party's American Express card defines himself first and foremost as a Republican."

No, really? Lemme think...... Jeb Bush was one of his biggest supporters. Tea Party Darling? :24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24::24:

There are times I am tired of the gullibility of voters. How these people haven't realized the Tea Party has morphed into a Corporate Party is beyond me.

That's all. I just think it's funny (or sad) that people actually thought Marco was truly part of Ron Paul's Tea Party when Jeb & Sarah are in Marco's corner. Hello????????

I voted for the only true Libertarian on the ticket. The one that got no airtime. Too bad the 'Tea Partiers' couldn't see the real candidate right in front of them. Oh, that would involve looking past the pablum that is served on our local MSM. Tho, the SPT did run one or two stories on him. Compared to the many on the rest of them.

Once again, we get the sold-out crap we deserve. The best career politicians corporate money can buy.

You keep referring to Ron Paul's Tea Party... You do realize that Ron Paul didn't start a tea party movement... He just used the anniversary date of the Boston Tea Party for an event to raise money for his campaign. It's not like he was creating a movement to change politics, it was just a catchy way to raise money. :dunno

Although there are certain things I agree with Ron politically, I think some of his views are just too wacked out for me to support him.

As to you original post... Yes, I feel that there will be a lot of this. Some people will wake up and see that their "tea party" candidates are nothing but more of the same.

When I refer to Ron's Tea Party I am meaning the people that got behind him and his convictions of going back to the Constitution. Smaller government. Non-interventionist policies. Restoring Civil Liberties. Fair Tax. et al.

I was not and am not in lock-step with him either. I am pro-choice. But, at least Ron understands it's a State's Rights issue and I could embrace that in him as a Presidential candidate as all the other 'good stuff' he brought to the table. After all, it's about concessions isn't it? His priority was putting WeThePeople First, Second & Third. Not any other foreign nation. Not any multi-national corporation. Us.

What ticked me off about the whole thing was how all the other 'GOP' candidates insinuated he was a kook and a coward until they saw how much money people (PS & myself included) were donating to his money bombs. Suddenly you heard Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney spouting off Ron's ideas as if they were their own trying to garner support.

I was a life-long Dem. I changed parties so I could vote for Ron in our Primary as we have a closed one. Dr No has more guts than most, if not all, on The Hill. He understands we're being sold down the river and will actually stand up and say so. Not many out there doing that. Either side.

Hence the reason he was shunned by the media until after the election. Then, with the bailouts, they touted him as the smartest man in the room for saying they were a shitty thing to do and would only prolong the recession.

Such is life.

Lets add on the illogical want my cake and eat it too mentality. Fixing our federal deficits would cause a lot of pain and would guarantee that the politician who pushes through would be de-elected for the next election cycle. Would term limits actually fix this or should we just accept being hosed??
