Well, actually they just hid it. If you go to someone's profile the option is still available under the little gear dropdown at far right by the message button.

So if you're trying to get the last jabs in on a little poke war, now's the time.

I retired from the poke wars awhile ago. They need to create something more exciting on there. Like...Bombing your friend. Click on to the bomb button and everything on your friend's wall goes blank for a few minutes.
