Looks like it should be NE against the Packers in the superbowl

I don't see Alex Smith having another game like today and he would need it twice to get to and win the Superbowl

No way the Giants beat Brady at home.

next weeks games might suck. Although I give SF a better chance at winning than the Giants. SF has a nasty defense although they still gave up a lot of points today. But that was against NO so hard to judge.

Superbowl should be a good one though.

Not sure if I could have stomached Tebomania at the Superbowl :D

Rogers, not Brady. I think the Patriots have to take next week serious (whether it is the Texans or the Ravens) can't just give them the AFC

The Giants are playing against the Packers tomorrow... I'm not certain why you think they're playing the Patriots. :p

The Niners don't need Alex Smith to throw for 300 yards two more times for them to win the Super Bowl... they have the best defense and FG kicker in the NFL, and a pretty strong running game. Remember, the Ravens had a pretty similar situation in Super Bowl XXXV... they didn't need Dilfer to be a world beater, they just needed him to play smart. Smith led the Niners down for the two TD drives at the end of the game, so I think he's actually a better QB than Dilfer was for the Ravens... but the Niners defense is every bit as good as the Ravens were that year. Their TO margin during the regular season was +23 and they forced 5 turnovers against the Saints today, including picking Brees off twice. I think they can do the same thing to the Packers or the Giants next week.

Next week we'll have...

49ers vs. Green Bay/NY Giants
Patriots vs. Texans/Ravens

I'm so bored by these matchups, the Superbowl is going to be a snooze fest for me either way. I'd be all in for New England except for Ocho Cinco, whom I despise (I know his dad just died, I still don't think he deserves a Lombardi.)

Anywhoo, so, I guess I'm going for San Fran...*yawn* :p

This is how football used to be played for those watching the late game today

If you noticed they did a ton of commercials and then at about the 5 minute mark or so have not done any.

The negative side is that these coaches have never dealt with this.

When a time out was called tv would stall it an extra minute.

Now they have to think on the fly like in the old day before tv ruled

I wonder if the coaches were told this would happen if the game went late

I doubt it.
