Politics say that Al-Queda is back and may be posing a future threat that could
endanger the lives of many, they say it might be worse than 9/11 killng thousands of innocent people and cripling our nations economy.

We should definatly tighen up the borders for a few more months and we should be fine :badlink

document and tax them so the services they take from our system is paid for by them (partly, we know they can't, as of now, afford the health care, education, and other services granted to citizens in need)

whether they come illegally or not, there is no excuse to not have every one of them documented. If it cannot be done, abolish the border patrol and throw the military down there to train before taking tasks and missions abroad

All immigrant groups faced adversity and inopportunity from the earlier settlers of America. The Quakers, the Irish, the blacks, now the Hispanics. Blacks have only become equal to other Americans financially because of Hollywood and sports. Hispanic-Americans will eventually follow either this route or the political route to equality:

Route of fame- A group has no realistic opportunity in a region, so the group has three choices: 1) Join the military, 2) Become a Hollywood figure, or 3) Become a professional athlete. Any and all of these choices result in improved standard of living and near social acceptance.

Route of power- A group can regionalize into districts and become a majority there. With a majority, this group can vote in representatives to handle issues for the group, thus granting the group equality over time.

Historically, all groups have had to assimilate one of these two methods. The difference here is that the new wave of immigrations expects Americans to accomodate their needs, and they have no distinct will of assimilation in mind at this current point in time.

99.999% of people who have a problem with illegl aliens have NO problem what-so-ever with legal immigrants. We are truely a welcoming society, and equality is not the problem it has been in the past.

The differance with the current "invasion" and the immigrants of the past are marked and apparent. In the past, people came to America to become Americans. Today, the illegals are coming to America to remake America in their own image.

Imigrants of the past paid their own way, and didn't get or ask for a handout. The illegals of today DEMAND handouts. They DEMAND rights and privilages, and the DEMAND to be respected and feared, even though they have not earned it.

If a stranger comes into my house and Demands anything, he or she is getting their ass tossed right out into the rain.

Imigrants of the past have been interested in building and giving to America. Illegals today wish to take away from and abuse America for their own gain.

99.9999% of people who have a problem with the "Secure our Boarders" crowd acuse them of being racist or unsympathetic.

99.9999% of the "Secure our Boarders" crowd is NOT racist, and only wish to see the American way of life defended. Our forfathers bled, cried, gave their lives, lost loved ones, and struggled against all odds to gain, defend, and give us what we all enjoy today. Now we're being asked to give it all up without a fight for fear of being called racists. In the words of a great leader "Nuts!"

We should be ashamed of ourselves. I'm am totally embarassed by our leaders in this issue. To sell out your own people for political gain.... shameful is the only non-profain word I can use. It's a disgrace.

Every nation has the right to defend its way of life. We are no different.

Well here is my view: If they come here legally, they wish to assimilate into our culture, contribute to our culture, and be true americans for life and raise their posterirty as american, all is all and all is fine.

the problem now is the new wave of immigrants expects accomodation (bi-lingual aspects to communities) instead of their obligation of assimiliation. Americans will not accomodate anybody; this has been proven tried and true over the existence of america, and it won't stop now just because a new wave is an illegal and dangerous one.
