New telescope

My father in law gave me a telescope. Its realy cool. Ive looked at the moon a couple of times and man you can see craters everywhere. so friggiin cool. My only qualm is that i cant figure out how to use this barlow lens thing that came with it. I didnt get any instructions with it so im clueless. Its a Meade model no.385 if anyone has any suggestions or pointers on using this, it would be greatly appreciated.
