As a "Trekie" the movie sounds like total BS.
Thy kill Captain Pike and introduce Khan?!
My understanding is the plot is running in a parallel universe which again is total BS for a movie plot. Kind of like the dream episode on Dallas.
The timeline is all screwed up.
That said, go in not knowing anything, may be entertaining.

It's so they can reboot the franchise! The First movie was awesome! Nimoy was in it to bridge the gap... It was about a Romulan who travelled back in time and changed history! I hate hardcore fans who do not have an open mind...

I get that.
Just don't know how two of the same people can interact with each other in the "present" time when one is from the future.
Also, if you want to play the "time game", it would of made more sense for Nero to go back in time to save his family since he loved them so rather than try to destroy Vulcan? (in the "original" Abrams movie")

I do this all the time. Force of habit as I switched over to military time for the job nearly 13 years ago, LOL
I did not look at any previews or reviews so it was a good twist on the original series
as dad was a military man, that is how he taught us how to tell time
