Most of you know by now we live on a boat at a marina, well, the mister left for work this morning around 6AM, hadn't been gone two minutes when he called me telling me to come down to the bottom of the ramp. When I get there I see this little guy! I saw him swimming around the boat last night and the mister saw him a few days earlier too. All the salmon is in the river right now which I guess is why he's so far up river.

Never a dull moment here, we have two swans who's four eggs have just hatched, she tried to climb aboard someones boat at the marina, luckily the guy came home and got her off when he did because about an hour later she was laying the eggs on the dock. There's ducks with about 5 little ones here too, plus the two puppies here (mine and neighbours) makes for a pretty lively place!

I daydream about retiring early and buying a liveaboard. Has to be seaworthy though.Want to travel in her.

this would be nice.

Never buy wood! The upkeep is incredibly expensive/never ending/etc, etc.. nice to look at but huge! We're two (and a puppy) on a 42" which is borderline too big at times..

It seems although the seal has taken perminent residency on our dock and has been in the same spot every morning since. All the neighbours are enjoying it (except for the guy who has to jump over the thing to get to his boat) he still needs a name, and I'm still waiting for Fletcher (the puppy) to see him, so far he's been oblivious to the thing ten feet away.

I'd totally live on a boat...or at least I think I would. I say that now, but I'd probably get horribly sea sick, LOL (Although, my sea sickness is almost non-existant now that I'm more used to going out on boats).

And he's SO frigging cute...can you keep him??? :24: Althought the Rebel Flag looking markings are kinda freaky.

Funny little update for you all...

Last week I was taking some rubbish up to the bins when I saw the seal trying to climb up onto the dock from out of the water. Fletcher was with me and he started barking at it so he slumped back into the water! Watching us closely as he swam away!

Then last night we were grilling some hot dogs out on deck when I heared this splash, our BBQ is right at the back of the boat and there he was, right there! No more than five feet away! Took a look around, had a think about jumping up onto dock, looked up and saw us and again just slid back underwater!

Didn't have my camera with me the first time, and he was too quick the second time! It's funny that he's taken such a liking to this dock, though. I'm sure I'll find him sleeping in the sun again one morning soon...
