Need yalls advice

My husband wants an IPOD for christmas but Im not too hip on all this technology, so I need some help on whats the best one, etc.

I got joe the ipod nano and joe loves it. (its the smaller one w/ less memory, but its good)

Matt got me a 5th gen video iPod (30 gig), and I love that, even though I don't actually use the video. I just love it for the space. But I also listen to a lot more music than the average person, and my iTunes is basically bursting with almost 8000 songs (and counting!). So it kind of depends on how much music he listens to. Will he actually use the space to bother spending the money for a bigger iPod? Or will he be fine with a few hundred songs?

Nanos are kind of more customizable, as they do come in several colours, so they're fun that way if that's how you wanna go.

Crystal got me the Blue Nano 4gb ipod for my birthday, its a newer version of the older nano and i absolutly love it

I got a 30gig video and I love it to death. It's not much more for how much more memory and features you get.

i have the 30gig video as well. You really shouldn't need more than 30gigs, but they do make a larger one. I love my ipod video...make sure to buy a sturdy plastic covering for it though if you get that one, the screeen scratches SUPER easily. If you order it online from apple you can get it engraved also, that's what my fiance did for our last anniversary
