Republicans and Democrats alike signed NDAA, and our Traitor in Chief signed it into law; any talk of vetoing it was a smokescreen. Now they're hoping to quietly bring back the provision allowing the government to detain American citizens indefinitely via this loophole.
If only ultra-cons and ultra-libs realized they both hated the government for about the same reasons (and some from both sides do realize it's both parties at fault) we'd already have a third American Revolution on our hands. Government is SUPPOSED to fear its citizens, not the other way around.
Congress is considering HR 3166 and S. 1698 also known as the Enemy Expatriation Act, sponsored by Joe Lieberman (I-CT) and Charles Dent (R-PA). This bill would give the US government the power to strip Americans of their citizenship without being convicted of being “hostile” against the United States.
