Apparently the president made today National Peace Officer Day... I just found out... today... Why "Peace Officer Day?" Why not "Police Officer Day?" Or "Fallen Police Officer Day??" sorry, i'm just trying to find another thing to complain about...

okay so belay my last, i just found out that this was signed into law on October 1, 1962. Apparently the current president is trying to make it look like it was his idea and everybody forgot... there's another thing for me to complain about...

Police officer day I can handle- but there are so many other deserving public servants- so why not group them together- in a day honoring all of them, like Public Servants Day?

Or better yet- lets let the individual local municipalities honor those who have fallen in service and let the FEDERAL government go back to fixing the darn roads, defending US interests abraod, and securing our borders instead of wasting our time and tax dollars on useless pandering to union groups.

BTW, police have been known as Peace Officers, as in Keeping the Peace for as long as I can remember.

Yea, Police officers are acutally called peace officers. So its the same thing. ;) We get alot of free stuff this week>:) I read our bulletin board and it said we have a bowling day and some other things. :) COOL
