I think the possibilities with it are simply incredible. Really good article, I was amazed how much $ the government is putting into it though. I figured most of it would come from the private sector.

Well, basically, there are some private sector companies spending tons of money on it, HOWEVER, it has been the source of lot's of federal monies for research grants, so much of the private sector is not spending their own money...Yet

That does make sense, but I had never heard anything about the government funding it, so I was shocked. Not complaining though, I like when America is on the forefront of these kinda things. :D

My brother studied under one of the Physicists who discovered the "Bucky Ball".

I know.....snore....zzzzz....

BUT, it opened the door for other carbon forms to be discovered, which opened up the door for Nano-Tech.

I hear they can make a hot chick bionic with these things. Also, they're useful if your on the Enterprise flying thru space.

What they can also do is advanced medicinal delivery via nano-tubes, they can actually deliver chemo drugs right at the proper site to avoid damaging surrounding tissues and avoiding excessive sickness for the cancer sufferer.

I was just being sarcastic. If they can perfect this technology, the possibilities are endless, but then also scary. Can anyone say "selective" breeding?

LOL, and they are discovering the dangers in this technology also, there are countless side effects they have yet to uncover. That has stiffled support from a lot of major drug companies.

Drug Tort as of late has seemed to make them leary.

I may be way off with this. But is that the same Nano Technology that Dewalt is puting in there new batteries? Thier Litium Ion Batteries are called Nano.

Nano technology has a little to do with solid state engineering, The Lithium Ion battery I am afraid is not really in that spectrum.

Nano has become a huge catch word as of late.

I KNOW......NERD:D
Hey I was just messing with you earlier. Dont Pout I know how sensitive you people get.............Actually I would like to learn more about science myself. I used to love that stuff. Was always on of my better subjects.
