Ancient heroes such as Hercules, Arjuna, and Gilgamesh were celebrated for physical strength and bravery. Today, heroes are often innovators, activists, and thinkers. What changed in society that redefined heroism? Should modern culture revive the old values of sacrifice and honor reflected in mythology?

I don't think society actually worship real heroes like innovators and thinkers, they mostly worship celebrity. Celebrity culture is overwhelmingly growing.

Mythological figures are larger than life, shaped by gods, fate, and grand quests. Modern heroes tend to be ordinary people facing real-world challenges. The contrast raises good questions: do we still need superhuman archetypes, or do today’s grounded stories reflect our values more accurately?
