ACK---- I'm stressed the heck out! I have been a working fool all week, havent even seen the gym... and I'm tired allllll the time...

David's grandmother was rushed into the hospital Sunday morning, and since then-- I've been pulling 12 hour days give or take-- and I'm ready to explode! My coworker and I pulled together and made a schedule that would cover any time that his parents wouldnt be here, and it's not terrible... but with my job-- it's pure H-E- double hockey sticks!!!

David doesnt really understand the concept of why people go to the hospital and being really sick and the possibiloty of death, he just realizes that mom and dad arent home. He is beginning to get really irritable seeing our faces every day when he wakes up and at night before he goes to sleep. He is an absolute miserable wreck to work with this week, and of course he's on spring break-- which gives him nothing else to do but sit home with us and work!

OK- back to the point of the thread-- what do you to relieve stress?

Please try for something other than the gym-- cuz I'm just ill from not being there-- but I've been working for most of the time they are open-- or too tired to go afterwards... I need some at-home type remedies

ADDING-

I brought David to my house after his learning time was over, so I could tend to the dogs and do stuff around the house that I have been neglecting... anyway.. his dad said probably about 8 he would be here, and he'd call me with an update shortly-- this was at 5... yeah-- its 745-- and nothing so far... he's an hour away, so best case scenario, he'll be out of here by 9..

Deep breathing sounds like such a cliche, but it works. I did not believe it but if I do it for a long while it does help me. As hectic as your life sounds, just be sure you have some "you time" and even if it is a few extra minutes in the shower, or reading a chapter of a book before bed, it may rejuvenate you.

If you have idle time, when life in general is stressful, try cooking. You can prepare meals for next week and freeze them in the event next week is just as stressful.

so nothing has gotten better with davids grandmother- so i will be working nonstop basically until i leave to get Heather and V at the airport Thursday :( I'm gonna need several drinks (and maybe a male stripper???) I'm stressed out already-- and its only 12:30 on Monday!!! This vacay couldnt have come at a better time, but its not getting here fast enough now :(

P.S- David's mother is a bit of a health food kinda gal-- EVERYTHING in this house is organic/sugar free/bleeehhhhh tastes like cardboard.... so yeah--- I better have lost some weight!!

oh man how did i miss this thread!? hot baths, and a good book. do something besides just laying around whne you get home..do something different, whether its reading a book, or just spending extra time with the puppas. You should have a nice fat paycheck after this right? plan how you will spend that extra money! go get your nails done or something :)

i'm gonna get loaded in NYC with it!!! it would be a butt load of extra money, if the mooch had paid her half of the bills this month...

i'm still looking at a really good pay check ( the perks of getting paid hourly i guess)

i have been going home for the simple reason, that my dogs are neglected. she doesnt wake up until half through the afternoon-- usually right before i get out... and they are DYYYYYYYYING for some love!

sorry you have been so stressed lately heather. i have been working 6 days a week myself for the past month and plus moving and all it really takes alot out of ya.

when i get home i just relax on the couch and watch something somewhat interesting on tv and just forget about everything else. oh and a glass of wine helps :)
