I see where Chuck Norris has just endorsed Newt Gingrich.

Now personally, I'm no big Chuck fan because the way I see it, without Bruce Lee, Chuck wouldn't of gotten his break.

So, I take a look at Chuck's life, and it turns out he's a devout Christian who is a member in the NRA and has endorsed Republican candidates in the past.

Hmmm...devout Christian such as Mr Norris backing a two timing SOB like Gingrich? Hate to admit it, I'm old enough that I remember Gingrich being in front of the cameras crucifying Clinton claiming Clinton was a man of no morals when Gingrich was getting his poon tang on the side just like Clinton!

So, I play a hunch and low and behold, turns out Chuck himself was married for 30 years to the same woman, got a divorce, then married another woman, wait, wait...20 years younger than himself.

WTF????

People claim to be a Christian, sleep around on their wives, get divorced, marry younger women and NO ONE else sees a moral double standard???

Don't get me wrong, he who is without sin cast the first stone, but damn, to put yourself up on a podium and portray yourself as having some kind of moral character with Christian values when somehow it seems you always end up with a good piece of ass is a little troubling.

Rant over.

The way I see things, no one, and that includes myself, has that right to call themselves Christian. God/St. Paul decides if you go through the pearly gates i.e. led a life worthy of being called a Christian...

Agreed.

I am however getting to the point that when a person of some fame mentions his religious beliefs or "moral conviction", to fricken run for hills.

Turns out Mr. Norris also had an illegitimate daughter.

Like I said, no one living isn't without sin, but don't try to portray yourself as someone you're not.

Chuck Norris just became a piece of s*** in my book, not that anyone is going to lose any sleep over it LMAO

S***, life's a great big party, lie, cheat, steel on one side, and show another side to the public.

There are too many people who claim to be Christian, I am not judging them, but don't live according to what is said in the Bible...

Whatever the platform, when you go around preaching family values, it's best not to have cheated on your wife a few times.
If you've cheated or done something clearly against the family values you bash others over the head for, and you want to make amends I say it's ok, but you can't be the face of morality. Doesn't mean you shouldn't be forgiven if you've learned and changed, but you can't preach to others anymore. You lost that chance IMO.

Damn Joe - Did you not know that Chuckles is a conservative rock star right up there with Ted Nugent, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity et al?

I keep coming to the conclusion that conservatives just aren't the brightest of bulbs. They seem to be the worst lemmings of the political species. They'll vote for the biggest scum bag so long as some higher conservative "authority" tells them to. They go so far as to vote against their own best interests rather than thinking for themselves. Add in a little Christianity to the mix, and you get the severe Cranial Rectumitus we are witnessing with the Gingrich supporters.

I guess why I always scratch my head is these guys go around preaching "family values" and claim to be Christians, BUT, you ever notice that the woman they end up leaving their wife for is hotter looking than the first wife? I made a bet with myself and sure enough, the girl Mr. Norris ended up with was a former model. Imagine that.

Don't get me wrong, I understand people can grow apart, and the question can be asked if staying in a marriage that has no love is worth staying in, but damn, how about keeping your wanker in your pants UNTIL the divorce is finalized?

Oh, John, even though I believe people should have the right to own firearms, Mr. Nugent is nothing but a nut case IMO.

Damn, what do you know. Made a bet with myself not knowing Mr. Nugent's life, and sure enough, two wives, eight children, having three of those children out of wedlock. Hey, nothing wrong with having kids with the person you love and want to stay with, but to go portraying yourself with "Christian values" is nothing more than a sham IMO. After reading more, apparently Mr. Nugent also runs a canned hunting operation. Go figure.

I keep finding these "Christians" and I might have to give up my Christian religion.

Joe, it seems the first wife was an acquisition of "pre-megaframe" versions of Chuck, Newt, and Ted...the hot wives are acquisitions of the rich and powerful versions. I won't comment on the christian morality portion of that, specifically, but that's certainly a money thing from my view.

It is a money thing to be sure. The wealthiest acquire their wealth with the good faithful wife and the American infractructure that makes massive wealth possible.

Then, after acquiring the wealth with the assistance if the good wife and the good taxpayer infrastructure, they trade in the good wife for a trophy wife and lobby to fuck the taxpayers that provided them with the infrastructure to get them wealthy in the first place.

That's conservatism 101.

I think your frustration stems from a false assumption. You seem to be working under the assumption Christians are more moral than everyone else. That simply isn't true. There is no evidence to support it. The truth is you don't have to be a Christian to be a good person. And not all Christians are good people. I don't have any more faith in Christians than anyone else. This is not to bash Christianity. It's just a realistic view of the world.

Perhaps, but perhaps one reason why is they claim to be.

If you can't walk the talk, don't talk.

ANY man due to a poor lapse in judgement can think with his dick, the question is how he handles himself AFTER he knows he made a mistake. Problem is, some of these guys (AKA Christians) don't think they made a mistake putting their dick in a woman other than their wife.

Sorry for being so blunt:ninja

The problem seems to be that it's one thing to have mistresses, it's another to be claiming that you've above that sort of thing and condemn others for it, and then have it revealed that you were doing it too, all along.

It's hypocritical. I do wonder why, if you were a powerful man with a woman on the side, you wouldn't just keep your mouth shut about other people doing it, so it doesn't come back to bite you on the arse.

I'd really hate to live in your world when a man who cheats on his wife multiple times in considered "awesome", no matter what his position in life may be.

Go tell your three week old relationship girlfriend that you would think it would be AWESOME if she would just run around and cheat on you so you can feel the awesomeness of her power.

HK, you're spot on.

Totally agreed.
The bolded point is just pure hubris. Too proud to know what's good for you.

Ding, ding, ding.... this is exactly the point.

Yes, people make mistakes, Christian or not. The problem is that they will stand their and tell you all about family values while doing just the opposite.
If you are a politician who has an affair, that's their business and I don't give two craps. But don't stand their and be a complete hypocrite about it.

Don't you understand what he is saying??? It's ok for the guy to do it, not for the girl.
