My internal clock is shot to hell...

So, ummm, back to the original topic, no??? :)

My internal clock has always been set for nightshift...I don't know why. I love working nights and, now that I rotate from nights to days every 90 (supposedly) days, it sucks trying to adjust.

Now, if we want to talk about biological clocks...I think mine's broken. LOL

YOU made this thread go south... NOT me... I really have nothing against you. I used to care for you. There was need for you to bring that personal shit into this conversation....

No...you took what she said about the partying, personally. (You do this a lot lately).
She didn't belittle you at all.

It's settled.

Very settled. All better. :)

Awwww...so sweet. Kudos.

Ok, for me now bout the subject. Isn't it amazing how in tune our being gets to habitual things? Do something...anything over a period of time and the mind and body acclamatises accordingly. Try to get out of it and it's like hell to do so. And that goes for pretty much any habitual thing.

One of the reasons why I was never one for shift work....daytime/nightime changing up. The re-acclimatising thing messes you up. If you got a partner with regular hours oftentimes your times don't mesh well either.

For me, 8-4 daytime works for me...nightime gear down, interact, sleep, get ready for next day and repeat. Constant in the main.

Same goes with diet. Breakfast morning, lunch mid-day, dinner night. By the time one reaches the necessary hunger is there accordingly to accommodate. I mention this against the backdrop of knowing others that have irregular eating patterns and encounter problems.

With that, generally my pattern is pretty consistent re sleep and diet and as a result I feel very good and my health is excellent.

My eating pattern is hella messed up. I've been told thats part of the reason I'm overweight aswell. Not eating right during the day doesn't give the body the energy to burn off what you eat later on during the day or something like that.

Yea, I've heard of that. Your metabolism is lowest late at night, and throughout the night, you have a much higher chance of storing fat than any other time.

Sucks to be humans.

My internal clock is annoyingly accurate. I always wake up minutes before my alarm goes off. Makes me angry. I could be sleeping for those few extra minutes! :mad

True. Lots of problems usually stem from irregular eating patterns. Seen it happen with others way too many times. That's why I make it a point to get mines in good time. When noon reaches during the work week, no kidding I does be like an addict on crack hustling out of the office to get my lunch.

Is a crazy scene seeing me dart through there and they prolly have a good laugh seeing me do it. Hell it cracks me up even inside when I am in motion. It says CB coming through, don't stop him. Reason being I got caught way too many times before, just when lunchtime approaches all of a sudden somebody now get some bright idea they want to see me for something and the next thing I know is I get ketch and late for lunch. They are trained now just to leave me be and let me go. :D. No joke. I don't make no joke with that and they know it. I'm probably the only one that gets to do it and have lunch at a regular time.
