i painted some interior pieces of my stang after work today- same color as my car (Atlantic Blue Metallic- minus the clearcoat). ya like?

took about 30 minutes pulling the pieces out of the car, 10 to prep and 30 to paint 4 coats and an hour to dry real good then 30 to put back in with care. it was really easy, but my car smells like paint now (i'll be buzzing on the way to work tomorow) :cool

Dude that looks awesome. I don't have the balls to try that because I'm afraid I would mess it up and be screwed over.

yea im not a painter by any means, but i just tok the covers off my subs and practiced on those then i tried the interior pieces - when you start the interior, there is no going back :D

Actually, there is a trick to make them last and not scratch. After you wet sand the parts with your final 1000 grit, you spray them with a product called Bull Dog. Bull Dog chemically bonds to plastic and then the paint chemically bonds to the Bull Dog. It's a great method anytime you paint plastics. I learned the hard way.

i dont really touch the peices i painted- hopefully they dont scratch, but if they do i can just paint them again with that product HRnB mentioned

the interior need some more coloring...(black and shinny silver)

what kind of paint did you use? i did mine red and thought it stood out too much so im looking to paint them again but odnt know what color

i used duplicolor ocean blue metallic (same as atlantic blue) i like it though. hey V which parts dont you like?

and 93gt, i like yours the wya they are.

That looks badass man!

I have the same two tone interior in my stang actually... but since I'm going with the silver/black theme anyways on the outside, I don't really need to paint inside.
