First I got to stand in a long sweaty line. Drat Texas and their absentee rules. I've always absentee voted. Standing in long lines is archaic. However, one bright point, because a U.S. court threw out Texas's voter ID law, all we had to show when we early voted was our Voter Registration Cards issued by Texas... imagine, the horror! I voted mostly for Democrats with some Liberterian and Green party votes thrown in. Republicans deserved NONE of my votes. They are too dangerous...

Then I sent my clone back to vote again but crap, I had all ready voted and they turned him away. Then I tried to hire a elderly person to pretend they were a deceased voter, but I could not find any deceased voter registration cards laying around. Completely frustrated by the experience. But it's good to know that Republcians are spending millions trying to protect/suppress the voting process. :- \

I went in on the first day. I haven't received my registration card yet so I showed my picture ID. They'll accept a military ID even though it's not acceptable proof of citizenship when applying for a job - go figger. No waiting. In & out, but it still took longer than I expected. So many judges! And why should I care if a judge is dem or repub? A judge is supposed to show loyalty to his party??

I took a whole stack of ballots when I left, so we could discuss it in gov't class. Unfortunately I got called up to the district office & was stuck there all day so my co-teacher got to have all the fun.
