I was a huge fan of Alice Cooper early on. In the mid 70's he had Steve Hunter play guitar. Hunter also played on what I think is one of the best solos live with Lou Reed which was Intro/Sweet Jane
Back about 5 years ago my daughter had a project for school where she had to interview somebody. My wife had mentioned that at the Roller Rink she worked part time at that there was a father who was a regular there who brought his daughter on the weekends. She said he had something to do with the band. She thought he was a roadie.
So this guy who I had seen but never talked to comes to our house to be interviewed. I could hear a little of the conversation and then when he left I asked a few questions.
Turns out the roadie was not a roadie. It was Steve Hunter. That was his stage name. I never got to talk to him. I would have kissed his friggin feet.
I've had a drink with Spider Stacy out of the Pogues.
