Lying still, eyes closed
The moon in it's misery
Sadness slips through
Tears peirce darkness
Shimmering reflections of light
A lost soul in darkness
The moon cries tonight

Blinded by sunlight
Stars forced in hiding
Looking up, the beauty to bright
The moon still in my eyes
My soul hearing her cries

Calling softly to me
A suffering not mine to bare
Stabs through my heart
Darkness wraps my mind
A lost soul in darkness
The moon cries tonight.
