Mono??

anyone ever have it?? while i was away, the guy im dating found out he's got mono, and im wondering if there are symptoms that i should know about... :yuk

you don't have to kiss someone to get mono. My friends sister got it from some random hand to mouth contact.

My daughter got it when she was in kindergarten. The dr said she probably got it from a water fountain. She had fever for days, would not eat nor drink, slept ALL the time. It went on for about 4 days when she found out she had it.

a kid i went to school with got it in 6th grade. he was out for 2 weeks if i remember right.

My older brother had mono. They thought it was just strep throat and gave him antibiotics. It caused him to break out in a really odd rash. He missed about three or four weeks of class. A friend of mine also had it about a year ago and hers lingered for months because she didn't take care of herself. The doctor thought it was a bunch of other things (including a thyroid problem) before they figured out what was wrong.
