Mistakes or not?

So, in the new Bond film, the plot is supposedly set as before Bond got his "00" license. Sure, ok, explains why they dropped Pierce Brosnan for Daniel Craig. But what about these few key elements-

-The old M from the older Bond movies(Maybe Homer knows what I'm talking about!) was a guy. In this movie, they keep the girl M.

-In this movie, he has an Aston Martin V-12 Vanquish, which he only had in Die Another Day. Shouldn't he get back his really old Aston Martin?

Just felt like pointing these things out.

my whole family are bond-lovers. we almost have the whole set of movies. i think we're missing one of the really really old ones.

anyway, I didn't realize that they decided to rewind time. Good premise, seems everyone & their brother are making prequels. So they kept the woman for M and the vanquish, hmm? Interesting. They'll probably have a bunch of other stuff that's more modern-bond than 'old' bond, like controls & stuff, y'know, and they'll probably keep John Cleese as Q. I think that was his name anyway. Any ideas about that?

I have a friend who owns every single james bond video game and movie.

Kind of hard to bring the guy back to play M, since he's no longer alive and all... I think the same goes for the old Q, too.

The guy who played Q, Desmond Llewellyn, is dead, but John Cleese is pretty good, so that I can understaned. But for both M and Q, they could get look-alikes. Everybody knows we've got so many of those kinds of people around.

Watch the trailer where the car swerves to avoid the girl in the road. Definately an Aston Martin. Plus, a Ford Mondeo looks relatively new, and Bond would never use Ford, he's strictly an Aston Martin guy.

Dodge thanx, for the info ..... but it was hype that Bond selected MONDEO for this flick .... so was not sure .. anyways now since u are confirmed tat its Aston Martin it fine ..

So, from both trailers, it looks like he does drive the original Aston Martin of his, and the new Vanquish one of his. No Mondeo, but on another website, it says they are using it in productiong. Pretty fucking confusing, but whatever. Should be a good movie. The only Bond movie/series in 44 years to show it raining in the movie. And Bond gets in a pretty bad car accident. One last thing, after production, the studios burned down again, just like a few years ago.
