Bullshit. Absolute bullshit. I was over there from Feb06-Feb07 and got combat pay every single month.The US government has been screwing over the troops from the get go. When president Bush proclaimed that combat was over, it allowed the military to stop paying combat pay to the troops.

They never "stopped paying" the combat pay. What the article says is they were going to take a $75 raise out of it:
Unless Congress and President Bush take quick action when Congress returns after Labor Day, the uniformed Americans in Iraq and the 9,000 in Afghanistan will lose a pay increase approved last April of $75 a month in "imminent danger pay" ... Imminent danger pay, given to Army, Navy, Marine and Air Force members in combat zones, was raised to $225 from $150 a month.
