As an anti-conservative, should I be jumping for joy and scared to death? I'd only be trembling with fear if I thought she could win a general election. She is among the worst of the Republican Zen, only exceeded in scaryness by SP. Unfortunately I was in a room where many of the local assholes listen to Faux and they were just spewing about the greatness of MB. This kind of candidate only reinforces to myself (and the world) the dead end path this country is treading.

I know that I am legitimately saddened and frustrated by the lack of credible women involved in political leadership. It's such a shame, and I worry it will have ramifications for regular women and their appearance in media/workplace.

She looks like the type of person who gets righteous about things in a non-awesome sort of way.

She's way worse than Palin, I will say this. Palin says stupid shit, she makes up words, botches history, contradicts herself with and is generally not to be believed, but Bachmann is so utterly misguided.

Need inspiration? Look into Democratic National Committee Chairman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. She is a very intelligent congress woman.

She should probably send dick pics or say George Washington played the harmonica while he freed the slaves or no one will ever hear about her :(

It's a shame that you need to be rude to get recognized in politics.

Between Palin who resigned as Governor due to ethics probes and whose overall education is lacking, other than that of snake oil salesperson, and Bachmann who believes we need to investigate Congress looking for anti-Americanism, I don't understand why the Republican Party can't put produce some sharp competent women ready to seek the highest office of the land.

:24::24::24::24:

and you claim you are not liberal democrat :24::24::24:

If she is so brilliant why did she give a gift of a sound byte this week?

Sure the comments were cropped and she no doubt followed up with something to explain...... but

when she says the democrats own the economy now........... regardless of what follows in the next sentence that is pretty stupid.

Those who are credible get railroaded.....Brooksley Born and Elizabeth Warren immediately come to mind.

That reminds me..... I'm pretty sure she's the one that got challenged by a High School Senior (a girl) to a debate on the Constitution a couple of months ago. I guess she never accepted the challenge?

Imagine my complete lack of shock.

Have no fear. We'll get the best government electronic voting systems can deliver. You can take that to the bank.

I predict with Bachman this is what you'll get as with most GOPer/TP candidates:

Off the top of my head:
1. Intelligent Design- check.
2. Christianity- official religion.
3. Government out of our lives, except in the bedroom.
4. Always on the lookout for a good war.
5. Cut social welfare, reinforce corporate welfare.
6. Always Lower taxes.
7. Complain about our spending problem, look for social programs to kill.
8. Draw a line in the sand for the military industrial complex.
9. Want to privatize and wring a profit out of as much of government as possible.

As someone who dosen't live in the USA, I had to google to find out about her. I can't make my mind up whether she is stupid, brave, no nonsense or narrow minded or all of those things. She seems to me the kind of person who will either get something spot on or catostrophically wrong.

The latter. Example: She wants to intelligent design to be taught in school.
