Assuming...for the sake of the discussion...that Jesus did actually exist and was what the Bible says he was i.e. the prophesied "messiah", where is the world peace that was prophesied? According to the Bible, when the messiah comes, "all the nations of the world will unite to acknowledge and worship the one true God. The knowledge of God will fill the earth. The world will be filled with the knowledge of God as the waters cover the seas."
Nothing like that happened. Quite the opposite in fact! Islam developed and became the religion of the Arabs and many other nations, Christianity broke up into many conflicting sects which were constantly at war with each other, and a large part of the world continued to worship idols. Even today the world is far from worshipping one God.
So my question for debate is this:
Was Jesus the prophesied 'Messiah'?

BTW... if anyone mentions 'second coming' I'm going to ask you to provide evidence for this second coming from the Jewish Tanakh. :nod:
