I went TDY to Yokota Air Base in Japan back in 2004, and I didn't see anything like that in Tokyo.

I did see some cool vending machines though. Some prepared nearly whole hot meals.

Additionally, I also saw a vending machine that sold used panties worn by school girls, but that was in a more questionable part of town.

Don't believe me? Google it. They exist. :p

OK so Anime is huge is Japan..

Sakuracon is big in Seattle and the Equivalent in Vancouver Anime Evolution attracts thousands and takes up a Convention centre with people flying in from Japan to attend..

Now my Daughter is into Anime very heavy.. She used to write "Yaoi" on the side of my Pathfinder all the time in places I would not see it when I had Japanese people come in.. They would snicker and laugh at my expense.. Good thing I have a good sense of humor..

It is not uncommon to see giant Pikachu's walking about Vancouver during Convention time.

How does one maneuver to get onto a bus in something like that??? I'm just curious.

My younger brother wants to go to Japan SO BAD...he's fascinated w/ the culture.

And I had actually heard about the panty vending machines before and looked it up...and sure enough, it was true. That's, ummmm, interesting.

Oh, I know where that photo was taken and it isn't in Japan...its in London, I know that wall so well.....the Queen isn't going to be amused

Is it really London? I thought it looked like an English bus stop but I just assumed maybe Japanese bus stops look the same as ours :willy_nilly:
